The Role

In this role, you will:

  • Configure and install network devices and services, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS.
  • Perform network maintenance and system upgrades, including patches, hotfixes, service packs, and security configurations.
  • Monitor network performance to ensure system availability, reliability, and optimal resource utilization.
  • Plan and manage system capacity through detailed trend analysis.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues by providing Level-2/3 support.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies to implement approved changes effectively.
  • Implement security tools, policies, and procedures as required.
  • Liaise with vendors and IT personnel to resolve technical problems.

The Requirements

Certifications

  • Linux Certification (highly valued).

Experience

  • Proven hands-on experience as a Network Engineer.
  • Working knowledge of Linux, macOS, and Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with Aruba Enterprise wireless routers and SonicWall firewalls.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, and New Relic monitoring.

Expertise

  • Strong understanding of networking protocols, including IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, and QoS.
  • Solid knowledge of the OSI and TCP/IP models.
  • Proficiency with network diagnostic and analytics tools.
  • Skilled in installing and troubleshooting Apache, PHP, Elasticsearch, and OpenSearch.
  • Expertise in database handling and configuration (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficiency in domain DNS management, Google Workspace, and basic troubleshooting for laptops and operating systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft and Adobe license management.
  • Experience handling tools like DLP and ManageEngine.
