DCKAP பள்ளி (Palli) is an initiative by the DCKAP Community that strives to provide industry-ready skill training for the students who complete their 12th Grade/Polytechnic/Diploma colleges. The training at DCKAP Palli happens through professionals from the community and industry experts.

DCKAP பள்ளி (Palli) focuses on recruiting Youth from underprivileged or low-income communities who can’t afford an expensive college education or are looking for alternative education to enter the corporate world. DCKAP பள்ளி (Palli) aims to mould students into well-rounded professionals ready to take up software jobs in our DCKAP Community after they are trained and made job-ready. We understand the need for students to settle down in their careers and we hope DCKAP Palli will not just uplift their life alone, but the whole family.

DCKAP பள்ளி (Palli) is looking for a seasoned technical trainer with good communication and training experience to teach and train students in full-stack web development- PHP. Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2-3 years of recent teaching/training experience with all the skills listed below.

Responsibilities

• Develop curricula and deliver course material
• Review training methods, and teaching materials, and make recommendations for improvement
• Develop and/or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals
• Deliver training courses and assist students during hands-on sessions
• Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure that students showcase excellent progress
• Prepare assessment plans and maintain track records
• Educate, train and examine students’ growth and development
• Collaborate with internal and external technical communities to bring in updated tech content for the students
• Encourage students to participate in external hackathons, tech assessments, etc., and assist them through the complete process
• Assist the core team and mentor students
• Maintain and periodically report data on completed courses, absences, feedback, etc.

Skills

• At least 2-3 years of experience with writing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Being up-to-date on the latest practices is a must
• A relevant back-end programming language & framework preferably PHP/JavaScript
• Database design and management, including being up on the latest practices and associated versions – SQL and NoSQL
• Familiarity with a relevant and globally supported framework—both front-end and back-end, Preferably – React, Node JS, and Flask
• Proficiency with Git
• Basics of Server management and deployment for the relevant environment
• Have a good understanding of industry (design & web) standards and best practices
• Appreciation for clean and well-documented code
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Tamil and English
• Excellent research abilities and a willingness to grow

Full-time/ Part-time Role with a schedule planned ahead of time, leaving no room for flexibility.
